Alyssa Tohyama
Alyssa Tohyama is a Los Angeles–based designer working across brand identity, visual communication, and graphic design. She currently leads digital and visual media at UCLA Architecture and Urban Design, shaping the school’s visual identity across print, web, social, and physical spaces.
With a background in architecture, her work bridges graphic design, exhibition design, and object-making, with a strong sensitivity to materials, context, and audience. She is especially interested in translating complex ideas into clear visual narratives, and in building design systems that can move across scales, from printed matter and presentations to digital experiences and large-scale environments.
Alyssa brings a multidisciplinary, hands-on approach to visual storytelling that combines conceptual thinking with craft, creating work that is both strategic and tactile.
